Dr. Hong Cai is now CTO of Cloud Computing of ZTE USA. He is living at Allen, TX with his wife and daughter. Before current job, he has spent 15 years in IBM as a technical executive. Bs/PhD from Tsinghua University, China in 1993/1997. Joined IBM China Research Lab in 1997, and playing the role of project leader, manager and senior project lead. Moved to IBM China Development Lab in 2008. Now technical lead of SaaS/Cloud software incubation projects in CDL. He mainly focus on three things: (1) Building a Amazon EC2 like IaaS stack which can provision an image within 20 seconds; (2) Commerce as a Services; (3) SaaS multi-tenancy; Dr. Hong Cai was Chair of Technical Expert Council of IBM Greater China (mainland, HongKong, Taiwan). He is an IEEE Senior Member, and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing. He is co Editor in Chief of International Journal of Cloud Applications and Computing.
